Foods Contain Iron Essential for Growth


Foods that contain iron is essential for consumption, especially for adolescents. At the age of adolescence, iron deficiency is a nutritional problem that we often encounter. The process of rapid growth, youth lifestyle, as well as mistakes in choosing foods can lead teens to have anemia due to iron deficiency, especially in young women who have experienced menstruation. Iron deficiency can be overcome or prevented by eating foods that contain lots of iron. Some of them are red meat, dried fruit, bread, cereals, and leafy green vegetables.


One source of iron is red meat. Although lately the red meat often gets a bad reputation but the food is very rich in iron is able to help raise levels of hemoglobin in your blood.


Vegetables such as spinach, cabbage, turnips, potatoes, peas, and cauliflower are the foods that contain iron as well as natural medicines to increase blood counts. These foods have the ability to regenerate iron and activate the red blood cells and supplies fresh oxygen to the blood.


Food sources of iron such as red meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts are very important to be consumed, especially for adolescents.
